FirstLink Investments Corporation Limited began in 1973 as Singatronics Pte Ltd, a manufacturer of consumer electronic products, such as pocket calculators, toys and games. On 5 October 1978, Singatronics (Singapore) Pte Ltd was incorporated as a private limited company to take over the entire undertakings of Singatronics Pte Ltd. The Company was converted to a public company, known as Singatronics Limited on 7 September 1987 and listed on the Secondary Board of the Singapore Stock Exchange, SESDAQ on 19 October 1987. It was subsequently upgraded to the Main Board on 5 November 1990. The principal activity of the Company is investment holding.

The principal activities of the corporations in the Group consist of the mining of the salt, manufacturing and distribution of edible salts & food seasonings and industrial salts.
